MxO Capital made an investment in AMCO Educación, an education platform with a strong presence across Latin America. AMCO serves nearly half a million students in 12 countries and provides educational solutions used by thousands of schools throughout the region.
The transaction involved the participation of several financial and legal advisors representing the different parties and shareholders involved.
Ritch Mueller represented Discovery Americas in its capacity as a shareholder of AMCO Educación. The team included partners Luis Nicolau and Héctor Cárdenas, as well as associate Paulina Arreola.
Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez advised MxO Capital as the acquirer. The team was led by partners Jean Michel Enríquez and Esteban Valadez.
Alfaro, Dávila & Scherer also participated as financial advisor in connection with the transaction, with partners Pedro Scherer and Mariana Fitzmaurice involved in the advisory process. EY-Parthenon, Alvarez & Marsal and VAHG Abogados also served as advisors.
